Gray friars monastery and roses
Smell 91 different kinds of roses in the rosary, a rose garden laid out in what was once the courtyard of the 14th-century monastery. The rosary is designed in the form of a wheel and in place of the hub stands the Klosterbrunnen fountain. Experience the place from budding and through the full bloom. Next to the rosary you will also find the apple garden, the herb garden and the cabbage garden. All botanical gems that honor the memory of the Franciscan monks who once lived and cultivated here.
Ystad's most photographed street
Rumor has it that there is one street that has been photographed far more times than any other street in the city. Is there a reason why the blooming hollyhocks and the colorful street houses with St. Mary's Church tower in the background have become eye candy for the visitor? Take a look and decide for yourself.
